Work Experience While You Study / Orientation Internships
Many of the collections and institutions belonging to the National Museums in Berlin offer the opportunity of gaining practical experience to accompany your studies or to help you with your career orientation. Internships are unpaid and last between six and eight weeks. Students applying for internships are generally expected to have completed their basic studies (Grundstudium), and applicants from non-German speaking countries will be required to have sufficient knowledge of German. Applications should be sent to the director of the particular museum or institution.
Further internship opportunities exist in various departments of the General Directorate. Please direct your enquiry to the respective head of department.
