Regular Admission - to quarters / areas or to single museums - are valid for permanent exhibitions of the National Museums in Berlin.
Special exhibitions may obtain separate admission.

Discounted Admission
In general the discount amounts 50%. Discounted admission is granted to pupils (children under the age of 18 free), students, performer of conscription or communtity service, unemployed persons and disabled persons (min. 50%). Proof of status must be provided in each case.
Free admission is granted to:
a) Children and young people up to the age of 18
b) Schoolchildren in supervised groups on educational outings
c) University / college students in scheduled lecture time accompanied by a lecturer
d) Members of the International Council of Museums and the German Museums
Association, on presentation of the relevant identification
e) Members of funding associations of one of the state museums of Berlin, on presentation of the relevant identification (free admission to the museum sponsored by their organisation)
f) Holders of press ID / accreditation cards
g) Persons in receipt of transfer benefits ("ALG II" unemployment benefit, social welfare benefit, basic allowance or benefits under the German social welfare law for asylum seekers) and in possession of the relevant identification
h) Persons in possession of a medical certificate confirming that they are required to accompany a severely disabled person where this requirement is noted in the disabled pass
i) Visitors to the reading rooms and study areas

Tickets are available 30 minutes before regular closing at museum cash points.
Credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Maestrocard, JCB, American Express) and EC cards are accepted
at all museum cash points of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
Tickets in advance you can get at the cash-points.

Public guided tours 3,00 Euro
reservation needed:
Individual guided tours in German 60,00 Euro (from 1 Apr 2013: 80,00 Euro)
Individual guided tours in other languages 65,00 Euro (from 1 Apr 2013: 90,00 Euro)
Guided tours für school groups in German, 1st - 10th free
Guided tours for school groups in German, 11th grade upwards 35,00 Euro
Guided tours for school groups in other languages 40,00 Euro
External guides: 25,00 Euro for 1 hour, group with 20 - 25 persons, subject to regulations of the museum (from 1 Apr 2013: 35,00 Euro)

The department of Visitor Services of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin offers a large number of guided tours and events. For details see event calendar. School classes and groups will be allocated a guide after telephone booking.
