  • Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection

    The most famous pieces of the world's most significant collections of Ancient Egyptian Art are e.g. the bust of Queen Nefertiti, the portrait of Queen Tiy and the famous 'Berlin Green Head'.

  • Alte Nationalgalerie

    In the Old National Gallery, the National Gallery displays one of Germany's most important collections of 18th-century art.

  • Collection of Classical Antiquities

    The Collection of Classical Antiquities presents pieces of art from the Greek and Roman antiquity. It is to be seen in the Pergamon Museum and in the Altes Museum as well as in the Neues Museum.

  • Ethnological Museum

    The Ethnological Museum at the Dahlem Museums - with it's 500,000 ethnographical, archaeological and cultural-historical objects from Africa, Asia, America, Australia and the South Seas - belongs to be most comprehensive of it's kind.

  • Friedrich Christian Flick Collection

    The Friedrich Christian Flick Collection comprises around 1,500 works by approx. 150 artists. Focused primarily on the art of the last two decades of the 20th century, it is supplemented continuously by perspectives onto the 21st.

  • Friedrichswerder Church

    Early 19th century sculptures are being presented by the National Gallery in the Friedrichswerder Church.

  • Old Master Paintings

    The Gemäldegalerie presides over one of the world's finest collections of European art from the 13th to 18th century. After the collection was founded in 1830, it was systematically added to and perfected. The exhibition includes masterpieces by artists from every period up to the 18th century, including van Eyck, Bruegel, Dürer, Raphael, Tizian, Caravaggio, Rubens, Vermeer and Rembrandt.

  • Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart - Berlin

    In the Hamburger Bahnhof, the National Gallery exhibits contemporary art with works of world-famous artists - such as Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Anselm Kiefer and Joseph Beuys - from the 'Marx Collection'.

    The Helmut Newton Foundation, situated in the Museum of Photography, presents photos made by Helmut Newton and his wife June, in varying exhibitions.

    The Art Library is one of Germany's leading institutions specialized in literature concerning the history of art, containing roughly 400,000 volumes.

  • Museum of Decorative Arts

    The Museum of Decorative Arts at the Kulturforum shows one of the biggest collections of works of European craftsmanship which range from the Middle Ages to the present.Due to extensive renovation work, the Museum of Decorative Arts will remain closed from 2th january 2012.

  • Museum of Decorative Arts (Köpenick)

    The Museum of Decorative Arts in Köpenick Palace displays interior design from Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo.

  • Kupferstichkabinett

    The Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) is the largest collection of graphic art in Germany - and one of the four most important in the world.

  • Numismatic Collection

    The Numismatic Collection at Pergamon Museum and Bode-Museum owes it's international renown to the rich diversity as well as the comprehensiveness of its coin series, which range from the beginnings of coinage in the 7th century B.C. in Asia Minor to the coins and medals of the twenty-first century.

  • Museum Berggruen

    In 1996, the Nationalgalerie first presented the Sammlung Berggruen (Berggruen Collection) in the western Stüler building opposite Schloss Charlottenburg. With an impressive collection of works by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Klee, and Alberto Giacometti, the Museum Berggruen is one of the most important sites of modern art in Berlin today.

  • Museum of European Cultures

    The Museum of European Cultures at Dahlem Museums is one of the hugest collections of European ethnographica and Cultural History world-wide.

  • Museum of Asian Art

    The Museum of Asian Art at Dahlem Museums combines one of the worlds most significant Collections of art from the indo-asian cultural area, containing art from China, Japan and Korea.

  • Museum of Islamic Art

    The Museum of Islamic Art, residing in the Pergamon Museum, contains art of Islamic peoples from 8th to 19th century.

  • Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte

    The Museum of Prehistory and Early History is one of the largest collections spezializing in the pre- and early history of the Old World. The exhibition covers the prehistoric cultures of Europe and the Ancient Near East from their beginnings down through the Middle Ages.

  • Nationalgalerie

    The collection of the National Gallery is divided betweeen the Old National Gallery, the New National Gallery, the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart - Berlin, the Museum Berggruen, the Collection Scharf-Gerstenberg and the Friedrichswerder Church.

  • Neue Nationalgalerie

    The National Gallery in the New National Gallery presents it's collection of 20th century European painting and sculpture, ranging from early modern art to art of the 1960s. During temporary exhibitions, the permanent collection is not on view.

  • Art Library - Collection of Photography

    The collection includes photographs from the very beginnings of photography, through to Pictorialism, the Neues Sehen ('New Vision') of the 1920s and the artistic styles of the present day.

  • Collection Scharf-Gerstenberg

    The National Gallery's 'Collection Scharf-Gerstenberg' is on view in the eastern Stüler building and in the Marstall (stables wing) opposite Charlottenburg Palace. Paintings, sculptures and works on paper are being exhibited on three floors under the title "Surreal Worlds".

    The Sculpture Collection and Museum of Byzantine Art in the Bode-Museum is one of Germany's largest collections of sculptures dating from the Middle Ages and later and owns a first-class collection of art works and utility objects from late Antiquity and the Byzantine period.

    The Museum of the Ancient Near East in the Pergamon Museum ranks alongside the Louvre and the British Museum as one of the world's leading museums of ancient oriental treasures.
