New special offer: become a member of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin for as little as 25 euros. New pricing comes into effect on 1 April 2013

Starting on 1 April 2013, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin have introduced a new BASIC annual membership rate. For only €25, BASIC members can visit all permanent exhibitions over the course of a year, at fixed 'off-peak' admission times. Purchasers of the new, value-for-money membership rate start making savings even after just a few visits.

New BASIC membership runs alongside the highly popular CLASSIC and CLASSIC PLUS rates. It came into effect on 1 April, when several other necessary changes to admission prices also came into effect at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. The changes were overdue as admission prices had gone largely unchanged since September 2005.

As of 1 April 2013, all regular admission tickets purchased online at www.smb.museum  are €1 cheaper than at the ticket desk on the day.
