Delve into Berlin Wedding and the African Quarter (Afrikanische Viertel)
Would you like to catch a glimpse into the secrets of African hair styling? Already tasted African cuisine? Africa is on Berlin's doorstep - and it starts in Wedding, with its flamboyant African church services, wild hairpieces and exotic food items. Our tour takes you to the spots in Wedding where the African community feels at home, as well as to the Afrikanisches Viertel, near Rehberge, where the street names are remnants of German colonial rule in Africa and recall a part of Germany's past with which many are unfamiliar, mit Josy Apraku (Nächste Ausfahrt Wedding e.V.)
